About the show:

Bassanio wishes to marry Portia, a beautiful woman that many men desire.  But to have a chance at this he needs money, a resource he does not have. Bassanio asks his friend Antonio for assistance, but being unable to help Antonio makes a deadly deal with the moneylender Shylock.  Antonio will get the money for Bassanio without having to pay interest, but if he doesn’t pay it back he will owe Shylock a pound of his own flesh.  Meanwhile, Portia struggles with the terms of her father’s will, which states that she must marry a man who chooses the correct one of three caskets.

Will Bassanio win over Portia? Will Antonio pay back his money on time?  Will tragedy strike the hearts of these Venetian men?
